Meet the Team

Jessyka Roseburg, LMHC

FOUNDER/OWNER,

INDIVIDUAL/COUPLES/FAMILY/GROUP THERAPY,

CERTIFIED IN DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOR THERAPY (DBT) AND CRISIS INTERVENTION

I have always known that I wanted to help assist individuals in becoming the best versions of themselves, and that is when I started my journey within the mental health field about seven years ago. From crisis intervention calls on 1(800)SUICIDE and working various New York State Hotlines for years, I transformed my love of helping people towards the inpatient psychiatry outlet. I was working in the inpatient hospitalization setting with individuals of all ages, races, sexual orientations, socioeconomic classes, and various mental illnesses for four years.

I knew that I wanted to help people on a deeper level. I took the plunge and Resilient Rose Mental Health Counseling was born. I haven’t looked back since.

Together we can explore and process past traumas, gain a deeper understanding of how they are impacting your life and interpersonal relationships today, and decide if now is the time to make the healthy changes necessary to thrive. I find that incorporating mindfulness and meditation into sessions truly help clients to truly transform their headspace.

I am ready to become a supportive outlet for you. Let’s see if we will make a great team!

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY AGES 12+

My goal as a therapist is to decrease the stigma surrounding mental health issues in the Indo-Caribbean and West Indian communities. I want to help facilitate a safe space where you can explore your inner thoughts and feelings, process your traumas, and begin to understand and accept yourself. My approach to therapy is eclectic, using a mix of person-centered, psychodynamic, and CBT to target each client’s needs. I want you to learn about your strengths and develop a sense of self-awareness to help you combat life’s challenges on your own terms.

For the past three years, I have been helping individuals navigate daily stressors like anxiety, depression, the effects of COVID-19, relationship issues, eating disorders, low self-esteem, and more. I have worked in the private practice setting with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. I have experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, victims of sexual abuse (men and women), and individuals who have suffered grief and loss.

I look forward to helping you combat life’s challenges with the proper skills, tools, and techniques. Together, we can work to process and accept your emotions in a healthy environment.

I know it takes significant effort to be here, and I hope you choose to make me part of your therapeutic journey!
